{one week from today i will be in paradise}

yessss indeed one week i will be soaking up the sun in maui
i can not wait to see the beautiful island! it's been 9 years since my last visit!

{my week @ a glance}

wow so many great things have happened in the last week! 
valentine's day was monday of course, all the texts from friends & my mom made me feel loved! 
i got a surprise from mom when i saw her last weekend with sweet cards, chocolate, & a presh sundress

& a little surprise to myself! da da daaa... hip hop abs : ) [i thought it got lost in the mail and i would never see this but it found me!] i need to get to work! maui in +minus two weeks!! ahhh! 

this week i was finally able to begin my internship @ cook childrens & couldn't have been more excited! i'm really going to love it there! everyone is so friendly and it's such a great org to work for! hopefully i can keep it up with tiny updates of what my days there look like! 

wednesday: women's entertainment has a t.v. series called "moms of multiples," and one of the moms on the show had a child in surgery at cook on wednesday. the film crew was there and our job was to supervise and make sure no other patients were shown without their consent. this process took all day, but i didn't mind bc they crew was fun and the guy was cute! it was really neat to see some "behind the scenes" of film for t.v. 

friday: it was my first day in the office and i was introduced to all of the staff on the floor. i read a lot of articles to better understand the style of writing and Cook's promise. i did some editing of copy in Indesign, then sat in on a meeting with some executives in marketing to discuss brochure design. to finish my day, i wrote a voicemail script for the new Southlake Urgent Care Center that will be opening soon!

{i've officially been 22 for oneweek}

exactly one week ago i turned 22!

of course i had every good intention of posting on here, but time got the best of me i suppose.

i received lovely cards & gifts from my family and friends

a few surprises in the mail : ) 

 it seems as if after turning 21 there really isn't anything exciting to look forward for birthdays. i got this brilliant idea from a fellow blogger! i compiled a list of things to accomplish before my next birthday...

& seems like i have a headway already! 

while cleaning out grandma's house, it looks like she had some gifts for me to discover! 

first addition to goal #2. done & done.

{on a side note}

i miss my grandma dearly. a day doesn't go by that i think of her. 

it's been difficult not having her around throughout the holidays. 

going through things in her house i discovered how much more me & grandma had in common.

she liked to label everything.

she was pretty organized.

was a devout christian.

& collected fun albums with handsome boyyys.

{it's Christmas time}

definitely enjoyed thanksgiving with the fam, but now it's christmas time!

i finally have my own place to decorate & have had an itch to do some crafting 

                            
                             bought pretty ornaments and some lovely christmas candles 

courtney and i even started baking the goodies

i just couldn't wait to share my photos!
